About: Born in New York City, on Aug. 19, 1965, Kyra Sedgwick caught the acting bug early, making her professional debut at 15 in the daytime drama "Another World." But it would be several more years until she'd make a splash in Hollywood, starring opposite Tom Cruise in Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989).Sedgwick went on to score memorable roles in Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992) and the Julia Roberts vehicle Something to Talk About (1995), playing Roberts's hot-tempered little sister to critical acclaim.
