Jon Cryer

About: For better or worse, Jon Cryer will forever be imprinted in the collective public mind as lovable Duckie Dale, the goofball character he portrayed in the 1986 teen flick Pretty in Pink. The offspring of Broadway performers, Cryer was born in New York City April 16, 1965, and made his cinematic bow playing a wisecracking geek opposite Demi Moore in the 1984 comedy No Small Affair. Cryer's film career flagged after appearances in a string of mediocre movies, but he bounced back in 1991, displaying his comic chops in the box-office hit Hot Shots. His other big-screen credits include Holy Man (with Eddie Murphy, 1998) and Glam (2001).Though Cryer had yet to achieve success on series television, that changed in 2003 when he was cast as Charlie Sheen's neurotic brother in "Two and a Half Men." The role garnered Cryer multiple Emmy nominations as Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy.
