About: Born in Burlington, Mass., on Sept. 16, 1971, Amy Poehler began exploring a career in comedy while still a student at Boston College as a member of the My Mother's Fleabag improv troupe.After graduation, Poehler moved to Chicago to work with the world-famous Second City, where she met friend and future co-star Tina Fey. Along with Fey, Poehler would become one of the most popular female performers on "Saturday Night Live" (2001-08), developing memorable sketch characters as well as co-anchoring the show's "Weekend Update" segment -- and earning an Emmy nod for her efforts.Poehler also scored with audiences on the big screen, co-starring with Will Arnett as a competitive ice skater in Blades of Glory (2007), and pairing with Fey once again to play a misguided surrogate mother in Baby Mama (2008).
