About: A Canadian actor, writer and producer who's often cast as an affable "everyman" -- or a stoner -- Seth Rogen was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, on April 15, 1982, and began his career in stand-up comedy, placing second in a citywide contest for amateur comics when he was just 16.In 1999, the young actor landed his first television role, playing the wisecracking Ken on the critically acclaimed comedy-drama "Freaks and Geeks," which proved to be a short-lived gig. But series producer Judd Apatow would continue to foster Rogen's career, and their partnership resulted in a string of big-screen comedy successes, including Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, The 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up.Rogen also starred in and co-wrote the Apatow productions Superbad (2007) and Pineapple Express (2008) and earned an Emmy nod for his writing on "Da Ali G Show" (2005).
